Children's Programming
Children's programming will be available on both Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and Yom Kippur morning. Participating children are expected to be accompanied by a parent.
Admission
TBE-W membership allows you and everyone in your household, including children up through age 22, to attend our services. Guests are always welcome. Adult children over the age of 22 and other relatives of TBE-W members are each asked to make a donation of $50 to TBE-W. Guests attending services who are not relatives of TBE-W members are asked to make a donation of $100 per person. Guest reservations may be obtained by calling the synagogue office at (757) 220-1205 prior to the holidays. As a reminder, TBE-W does not issue tickets – just identification at the table near the entrance.
Ushers Needed
Temple Beth El needs volunteers to serve as ushers during the high holidays. Your participation as an usher helps to create a safe and welcoming environment for our community. Please do your part to support this important effort. To volunteer as an usher, please follow the signup link in the e-news.
Eco Friendly Taschlich
With Rosh Hashanah right around the corner, it is also a great time to think about how you can complete Tashlich in a more eco-friendly way for our water-living neighbors. Consider bringing a bag of frozen peas or corn to the water instead of bread to be more mindful of our aquatic neighbors. Also, read this article from Repair the Sea about Reverse Tashlich.

Oneg Yom Tov, Kiddush, and Break Fast
There will be an Oneg Yom Tov social gathering after the Erev Rosh Hashanah service. All households are asked to bring a dessert to share, or to donate to the supplies fund. Please bring a label with the name of your food and any common allergens (such as nuts). If you prefer to make a donation, or you can help with clean up, please contact the TBE-W office.

Following Rosh Hashanah Day 2 services at TBE-W, there will be a Kiddush. Those attending with last names A-M are asked to bring a main dish and those with last names N-Z are asked to being a salad or appetizer.

There will also be a potluck Break Fast following the Yom Kippur Havdallah service. All families are asked to bring a dairy, vegetarian, or fish main dish large enough to feed your family plus at least four others. Volunteers to set up and clean up for any of these functions should contact the TBE-W office.
All food should be dairy or Parve and conform with the TBE-W food policy for all events.

Online Attendance
This year's online attendance will be through live streaming at SME. Online attendees can watch and hear the services as they happen, but will not be able to interact with others. Services at TBE-W will be through Zoom. Please see the e-news for the Zoom codes for RH Day 2.

School Excused Absences
It is important for you and your children to know that the area school systems consider attendance at these religious services to be excused absences. Letters have been sent to the local school superintendents requesting that they ask teachers to be understanding with their students who are absent because of the High Holy Days. If your student encounters any issues with the school, please contact Rabbi David immediately.
