Religious Services

Join us at TBE-W for a variety of services, including Shabbat, holidays, and special occasions.

Shabbat Services
Every Friday Night
Every Friday night we have Shabbat Evening Services. Services are always multi-access, meaning you can attend in-person or on Zoom.

We use the Reconstructionist Movement's Siddur, Kol Haneshamah. Services are a mixture of Hebrew and English, with all Hebrew also transliterated. On Friday nights, Rabbi typically shares a story or talk related to current events, the calendar, or the parashat.

After services, we have Oneg in the social hall. Everyone is encouraged to bring a light snack, such as a dessert, fruit, or veggies, to enhance our community gathering. Please make sure that food aligns with our food policy.
Shabbat Shacharit
Twice Monthly
We typically hold two Shabbat Morning services per month. Months where students are working towards their B'nei Mitzvah, Saturday services are held more often. You can find the dates in the Monthly and Weekly E-News.

On Saturday mornings, we engage in Torah Talk, led by the Rabbi, with congregant participation, after the parashat is read.

After services, we have kiddush in the social hall. Everyone is encouraged to bring a snack, such as a dessert, fruit, or veggies, or something more substantial, such as bagels or sandwiches, to enhance our community gathering. Please make sure that food aligns with our food policy.
Family Services
Monthly
Shabbat Kulanu, meaning Shabbat for Everyone, is our monthly, family-oriented service featuring guitar playing, a puppet show, and a Leha Dodi parade! This service typically takes place the 3rd Friday of each month, but is subject to change. The Shabbat Kulanu service will be the only service TBE-W offers that night.

After services, join us in the social hall for pizza from Rabbi's favorite pizza place! Families are also encouraged to bring a light snack, such as a dessert, fruit, or veggies, to enhance our community gathering. Please make sure that food aligns with our food policy.

We also hold a quarterly School Shabbat. On School Shabbat nights, each of the classes from our religious school will lead some of the prayers during Friday Night Services. Please join us as our youngest members help to lead us in prayer.

Celebrate Milestones with Us
Weddings
Celebrate your special day in a beautiful and meaningful way. Our rabbi will work with you to create a wedding that reflects your values and traditions, either on site at TBE-W or off site at the location of your choosing.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah
As members of our TBE-W family turn 13, we invite our community to share in B'nei Mitzvah weekends, including a Friday night and Saturday morning service. Dates and times will vary, but can be located in the Monthly and Weekly E-News.

After services, join us in the social hall for Oneg and Kiddush, sponsored by the family of the B'nei Mitzvah.

We also offer periodic adult B'nei Mitzvah classes for those interested. Please contact the Rabbi for more information.
Funerals
In times of loss, our synagogue is here to provide support and guidance. Our rabbi and community will help you honor the memory of your loved one with a meaningful funeral service.
